Imperative sentences (आज्ञासूचक वाक्य) – वह वाक्य जिसमें आज्ञा, निर्देश, अनुरोध या सलाह का भाव हो उसे आज्ञासूचक वाक्य कहा जाता है।
A sentence that expresses an order, command, request, advice or instruction is called an Imperative Sentence.
बहुत से लोग इसे ऐसा भी कहते है कि जो वाक्य ओ (ो ) की मात्रा पर ख़त्म होते है उन्हें आज्ञासूचक वाक्य कहते है।
Structure :- Verb + Obj.
अपना आचरण सुधारो।
Mend your ways.
उसे माफ़ कर दो।
Forgive him.
गाय बांध दो।
Tether the cow.
मेरी बात सुनो।
Listen to me.
ट्रैफ़िक नियमो का पालन करो।
Follow traffic rules.
दो नीबू निचोड़ दो।
Squeeze two lemons.
इसे लिख लो।
Note it down.
बच्चों का ध्यान रखना।
Take care of the kids.
मुझे कुछ नया पढ़ाओ।
Teach me something new.
कल सात बजे आओ।
come tomorrow at 7 o’clock.
मुझे इस बारे में कुछ बताओ।
Tell me something about it.
यह शहर छोड़ दो।
Leave this city.
उससे सिर्फ़ हिंदी में बात करो।
Talk to him only in Hindi.
अपनी गलती मानो।
Admit your mistake.
नकारात्मक वाक्य बनाने के लिए Don’t का प्रयोग किया जाता है।
Structure :- Don’t + Verb + Obj.
खर्राटे मत लो।
Don’t snore.
मुझे घूरो मत।
Don’t stare at me.
बड़बड़ाओ मत।
Don’t Murmur.
पछताओ मत।
Don’t repent.
फ़ालतू मत भटको।
Don’t roam/wander.
इतनी धीरे कपड़े मत निचोड़ो।
Don’t wring clothes so gently.
तुतलाओ मत।
Don’t lisp.
हकलाओ मत।
Don’t stammer.
ज़िद मत करो।
Don’t insist.
इतराओ मत।
Don’t show off.
मुझे परेशान मत करो।
Don’t bother me.
मामले को और आगे मत बढ़ाओ।
Don’t stretch the matter further.
