Cadaver (केडेवर) (N) – मुर्दा, शव
Meaning – A corpse body or A dead body.
डाक्टर्स को मुर्दों से डर वार नही लगता।
Doctors do not afraid of cadavers.
डॉक्टर ने छात्रों से शव की सावधानीपूर्वक जांच करने को कहा।
The doctor asked students to examine the cadaver carefully.
Cadge (केज) (V) – दूसरों को ऐसे समझाना जिससे खुद का काम निकल जाए
Meaning – try to get sth from sb else without paying for it.
मै अपने दोस्तों से पैसे निकला कर ही रहा।
I managed to cadge some money off my friends.
वो उनमें से है जो स्कूल तक जाने के लिए भी पड़ोसियों से लिफ़्ट लेती है।
She is one of those who used to cadge a lift from a neighbours for the short journey to school.
Cap (केप) (V) – लिमिट तय करना, ख़र्च पर रोक लगाना
Meaning –to put a limit on the amount of money.
कोविड केसेज़ बढ़ते जा रहे है ऐसे में हमें लोगों की संख्या पर रोक लगानी होगी।
COVID cases are growing exponentially, so we will have to cap the number of people.

Capricious (केप्रिशस्) (Adj.) – एक दम बदल जाने वाला, झक्की, सनकी
Meaning – Likely to change, sudden change of mood or behaviour.
आज कल का मौसम थोड़ा झक्की सा है (मतलब एकदम बदल जाता है।)
These days weather is a bit capricious.
उसका सनकी स्वभाव बॉस को पसंद नही आता।
The boss doesn’t like her capricious nature.
Carnage (कानिज्) (N) – नरसंहार, क़त्लेआम
Meaning – Killing or slaughter / the killing of a large number of people.
क्या सड़कों पर हो रहे क़त्लेआम को रोकने का कोई उपाय नही है?
Is there no way to stop the carnage on roads?
नरसंहार ने अफगानिस्तान को तालिबान के जबड़े में जकड़ लिया है।
Carnage has gripped Afghanistan under the Taliban.
Catapult (कैटपल्ट्) (N) – किसी व्यक्ति या वस्तु को ज़ोर से फेंकना
Meaning – to throw someone or something with great force.
जब दो कारों की टक्कर हुई तो वो विंड स्क्रीन में जा घुसा।
When two cars collided, he catapulted through the windscreen.
Charade (शराड्) (N) – झूठी स्थिति या घटना जिसमें लोग दिखावा करते हैं।
Meaning – An act or a situation that is obviously false.
मै जानता था नौकरी तो सिर्फ़ उसे मिलेगी इंटर्व्यू तो एक दिखावा था।
I knew that he would only get the job-The interview was just a charade.
वे पति–पत्नी होने का ढोंग करते हैं, लेकिन यह सब दिखावा है।
They pretend to be husband-wife, but it’s all a charade.
Chug (चग) (N) – घरघराना , बिना साँस छोड़े पी जाना
Meaning – (1) To make the sound of any engine or motor.
Meaning – (2) To swallow a drink without stopping to breathe.

My car has been chugging since I back from a long journey.
वह इतना प्यासा था कि बिना साँस लिए तीन गिलास पानी पी गया।

Cling (क्लिंग) (V) – चिपक जाना, विश्वास बनाए रखना
Meaning – (1) To stick to sth.
Meaning – (2) To hope though the chances of success are very small.
हम इतने गिले हो गये कि हमारे कपड़े बॉडी चिपकने लगे।
We’ve got so wet that our clothes clung to us.
बोरवेल में गहरा फँसने के बाद भी हम इस उम्मीद में थे कि वो ज़िंदा होगा।
After trapping deep in the borewell we were still clinging to the hope that he would be alive.
Clog (क्लॉग) (V) – अवरुद्घ / जाम हो जाना या कर देना
Meaning (1) – To hinder with the thick or sticky matter.
Meaning (2) – To become blocked so that movement or activity is difficult.
ट्रैफ़िक से सड़के जाम हो चुकी है।
The roads have clogged with traffic.
पत्तियाँ और टहनिया नाली को जाम कर रही है।
Leaves and twigs are clogging up the drain.
